I started making horse hair jewelry after I had to put down my mare a few months before she turned 31. I wanted something more than pictures to remember her.

The pendant below was made with a very small bundle of hair about 6 inches long that I collected from her main and tail brush. The hairs are twisted and then wrapped with silver wire. The charm is hand made from silver wire and can be wrapped with a contrasting wire you chose from one of 5 different colors.
